TEXTING- Very Good- I love texting on this phone. The full keyboard is so easy to use. the button are spaced out very well. You also have the option of using the onscreen keyboard- but its a number keypad or the pen option where you can write the letters. I dont really like the pen option it doesn't recognize the letters and its slow. I love that the messages show up on the main screen in bubbles.
WEB -Very Good- Using the opera mini browser is so easy and pretty fast. I spend alot of time on the internet. The phone has facebook, myspace and twitter apps also a instant messenger app i love them and they work well. I use a stylus on the web because their can be some smaller print and it just makes it easier to select what you want. As for youtube. use the web browser on the phone. When you watch them in opera mini after they are finished the browser closes and you have to re-open it but with the phone browser you can just go back to you search. Apps can be put in the background by hitting the home key and they can be reopend.
Media Player- I love it very easy to use and the sound quality is very good i use it all the time
Camera/Camcorder- I haven't used the camera very much. If the lighting is good it works fine but at night time not very good quality. You can add pictures on your phone with the memory card. If you want to make your own backgrounds the size should 240X400 otherwise they wont fix the screen completely.

Virgin mobile's LG rumor touch won't run downloaded .jar / app files. It comes up with a file not supported error message. I have to choose between getting the LG Rumor Touch and the Instinct s30. I love the s30, because it has a lot of things to do. I like the LG Rumor Touch, because it's touch and it has a slide out qwerty keyboard. I want to know if you can watch movies on the Rumor Touch. Also, which is better on Youtube and Sprint TV??Can you watch movies on the LG Rumor Touch?

When i did i got the rumor touch, it has a nice look very slick and the colors are amazing!

My virgin mobile rumor touch wont recieve picture messages. i can send them but when someone sends them to me i will never get them, no noification or anything. i used to be able to but after last time i toped up. i have unlimited text and data and 300 anytime minutes. i tried to reset my phones settings but this did not help nor did shutting off my phone and taking out the battery or deleting old messages. can someone help me this is really bugging me :(Why wont my virgin mobile rumor touch recieve picture messages?

Therefore the OS for the Rumor is specific for the Rumor, and there is no development platform like there is for iPhone, Android, RIM, or Windows Mobile.
And you can probably root your Rumor Touch, although not sure how to do it. Considering that Virgin Mobile is a CDMA network, you will only be able to take the device to another CDMA network, and that would be the only benefit of rooting your phone.

As for the Optimus v I don't know much about that phone. But it all comes down to if you want to have some extra money or you just want to spend it all. I would see which one is the better buy.

With the rumor touch you dont needa data plan ...you can buy the phone separately and have it prepaid with virgin mobile. Unfortunately with sprint you have to have a data plan. Hope this helps

Rumor touch or kyocera loft for virgin mobile?
I am a 13 year old boy, and I was wondering which phone I should get. I text a lot more then i call so the 300 minute everything plus plan is perfect for me. They both have full keyboards, and the rumor has a touch screen, but is one better quality?

While I won't say to ignore what the other answer says, I will say that there are always bound to be issues when a new phone comes out along with new plans. I'm sure that the bugs with activating and downloading will be fixed ASAP. So don't let that affect your decision too much.

From what I've read on the Virgin Mobile website, as well as other places, all you have to do is activate your phone and go. After all you can get internet access on any of the other older Virgin Mobile phones without any download.
Yes, the buttons on the Loft are a little small and they are a bit hard to push, at least at first, but I just bought the Loft myself and with a little practice I can push the buttons easily. My hand may be a bit bigger than yours, though my hands are small for my size, so if I can do it, you can too. It would be easier for those with smaller fingers.
I haven't activated my Loft yet since I'm still on one of the regular monthly plans until the 12th so I can't really speak on how easy it is to use the phone, though I've been with Virgin for years and I haven't had a phone that's hard to use yet.

DONT FALL FOR THE TRICK tell them that the phone keeps saying error. anyway, the yahoo,msn email doesnt download either it says error. so no email on your phone. buttons are very small and very hard. so the rumor touch would be the best by far. if you are patient u could always wait for the blackberry to get cheaper and that would be beyond the best phone ever.Rumor touch or kyocera loft for virgin mobile?

2. Download opera mini
at m.opera.com (if you
havent already done it)
its free. It is a mobile
browser which makes all
of this downloading
very easy
3. Go to
www.freeringtonesonlin
e.net (on the
opera mini browser)
and register. Its also
free.
4. Search whatever
ringtone you want. Once
you find what you are
looking for then you
should notice to the
right of the song you
will
see the "download"
button. Click it and wait
a
few secs. A menu will
pop up asking where to
save your download.
Select memory card.
Note: this ringtone is
mp3 format and cannot
be used as a ringtone (i
will show you how to
make it useful)
5. Now go to
www.online-
convert..com (also
from your opera mini
browser) This is a
online
file converter.
6. You will see "video
converter" under it click
"select target format"
and choose 3g2. Then

1. Have a micro sd card in your

2. Download opera mini at

4. Search whatever ringtone you

you find what you are looking

I want to switch mobile phone carriers from Sprint to Virgin Mobile. Would it be possible for me to unlock my LG Rumor Touch and then keep that phone and use it on Virgin Mobile? They're actually similar. The 'Hello UI' feature on the lg rumor touch is pretty cool though lol. Both phones have a 2.0 megapixle camera. The Samsung Instinct is an all thouch screen phone and the Lg Rumor Touch has a QWERTY keyboard built in. I've had an all touch screen phone and once the screen went bad there was no way for me to use the phone. They're actually similar. The 'Hello UI' feature on the lg rumor touch is pretty cool though lol. Both phones have a 2.0 megapixle camera. The Samsung Instinct is an all thouch screen phone and the Lg Rumor Touch has a QWERTY keyboard built in. I've had an all touch screen phone and once the screen went bad there was no way for me to use the phone. Hey I am sure you are not saving the apps properly. What you can do is you just need to download the apps and you need to run the apps on your mobile phone. There is nothing like saving files or something like that. However you can transfer the files from computer to your phone through either Bluetooth or LG PC suite. I am sure then, things will be easy.

I have the LG Rumor touch and I love it. Not sure if being a 13 year old girl makes it much different... but I really love the phone. :) Only thing I don't like about it is the volume is a little to quiet for my taste, I had to get a blue tooth head set to counter it.

The changing themes isn't for the actual screen, it's only for the Hello UI that you can access by pressing the phone button. Up in the top right there should be a button for settings. Click on that, and you can choose to use the themes. It changes by the season.mopar geronimo stilton

Yes. Go to Main Menu %26gt; Settings%26gt; lock phone %26gt; then change lock code. Now your phone is lock and it requires a passcode to be used. (when you first get your phone the lock code it is the last 4 digits of your cellphone number).

I have the virgin mobile rumor touch and I'm paying $40 for my plan of 1200 minutes and unlimited text and data, But I wanna switch to revol, it has nothing to do with the price... The older Virgin Mobile phones were nearly impossible to flash to other networks like Revol. The newer ones are said to be easier (Androids, Blackberries) but as for the Rumor Touch, call them up and see if they can do it or not. Most likely they can't and even if they can't you may only get talk/text.

Can you create custom text tones for the Rumor Touch?
I have the Rumor Touch, and I don'tt want to spend the ridiculous amount for their text tones. I want to place my own on there, but for some reason, I can convert my mp3s to 3g2 to make them work as ring tones, but the phone wontrecognizee them for text tones. Yes the Virgin LG Rumor Touch takes videos %26amp; yes you can watch videos on it too but video playback quality is really not so great. The cam is a 2.0 mp and is not bad in well lit situations. The touch screen is so so but I do love the new Hello UI you can use for contacts that I just figured out how to setup %26amp; use.
Virgin's version does not come with a micro SD card so you will have to purchase one in order to use the music player or the music, video %26amp; picture transfer to or from your PC features but thankfully the micro USB cable is included with the phone though you still need the MSD card to use it, go figure?
I purchased one just days ago from BB when it went on sale for $130 and it's a lot nicer + well built phone than I expected. The dummy demo's on display are cheaper feeling than the actual real phone it's self. So far I love it, calls are loud and clear + texting is a breeze, the google maps app with GPS really rocks! And $40 for a 3G/unlimited text/web/data + 1200 minutes is a great no contract monthly plan!

Why does my LG Rumor touch turn off randomly when sending a text?
I have a Lg Rumor touch from virgin mobile. I have had it a little over 9 months and had no problem with it until now. I had noticed it shutting off randomly a few weeks ago when i would send a text. When it does re-boost it self, I would go back to the text and it would send most of the time. Sometimes it would cut off but not much. Why wont the sound play on my Videos on my RUMOR TOUCH?
I downloaded my pictures and videos onto my computer. The videos work, but theres no sound. When i play them on my phone, there IS sound. Can anyone help me? Where did the sound go?
