I also have the Rumor Touch. I noticed that mp3 files do not work, only 3g2 files. Ventone, zarzar, fileminx either do not work or too difficult for me. Last night I downloaded a free and very simple converter from http://sourceforge.net/projects/samsungvicering. I converted a short mp3 song into 3g2 as a test, transferred the 3g2 file to my phone's miniSD card then assigned it as a ringtone to a contact. And it worked! You can make your own ringtones or look thru hundreds of thousands of popular or other ringtones
if you have a data plan you can go to their mobile website or otherwise you can download stuff from there and sideload them via bluetooth, micro sd, or USB.
