All phones limit you to 160 characters. However, the LG Rumor Touch allows you to keep typing after 160 characters, but it will send it as multiple chunks of 160 characters. As to whether you should get the phone, I would say it is a good phone to get for people who text or surf the web on their phones. I have one myself, and I like it. what the other person said is not completely true, not all phones have a limit, the type of phones that don't are android phones, virgin mobile offers two types...the optimus v and the samsung intercept. the rumor touch is not one of those...
